We are on the Reiver, Land's End to John O' Groats and just off the Coast to Coast cycle routes at about maximum distance for first days riding west to east.

We get a lot of cyclists returning for a good feed to help them on their way in the mornings.

A warm welcome awaits you from Duggie and Isabel at Balandra which is situated in the centre of the beautiful village of Skelton overlooking the village green. The village regularly wins awards in the "Cumbria in Bloom" competition and is a pleasure to walk around especially in the summer when the gardens and floral displays are at their best.

If you want to meet the locals the village pub "The Dog and Gun" is less than a hundred yards away and is very popular serving good food.

Skelton is a good base, located on the edge of the Lake District National Park and 4 miles West of Junction 41 of M6, for guests who want to visit local attractions such as:
